‘Stranger Things’ Cast Sing Classic Bops in New ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Video

March 21, 2020

The cast of “Stranger Things” is here to take your minds off the Upside Down world we are currently experiencing.

In a clip for the new Apple TV series “Carpool Karaoke: The Series,” the gang from Hawkins, Indiana jump in the car to belt out a slew of throwback jams together.

With 18-year-old Caleb McLaughlin behind the wheel and Millie Bobby Brown in the passenger seat, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink and Noah Schnapp take the backseat for a ride around Los Angeles.

After donning some "mind reading helmets" reminiscent to ones Eleven (Millie) wore on the Netflix series, the crew start to sing tunes from different decades.

Keeping in line with the Netflix show’s ‘80s motif, they begin with Stevie Nicks’ 1982 hit “Edge of Seventeen.” Taking it further back, they try their hand at Elton John’s ‘70s classic “Tiny Dancer.”

Next up, they channel those ‘90s vibes with Notorious B.I.G.’s rap anthem “Big Poppa.”

In between showing off their singing chops, Matarazzo laments about how the show’s fame has altered his life.

"I feel like because the show's gotten so big, it's kind of hard to do normal kid stuff," the 17-year-old confesses. The clip then cuts to a montage of the young stars trying their hand at various summer jobs.

Once back on the road, the cast finishes it up with Panic at the Disco’s 2018 jam “High Hopes.”

The full episode of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” is available to stream on the Apple TV app now.

“Stranger Things” was in the midst of filming their latest season when production was shut down last week due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While a premiere date for season four was never announced, it is possible the show may not be back until 2021.
