Bishop, 2 Daughters Die From Coronavirus – 17 Other Family Members Sick

July 19, 2020

Ontario Church leader Bishop Abel Jimenez of Christian Life Center and his two daughters, Tabitha Jimenez-Medina and Esther Jimenez-Hernandez have died from coronavirus and affected 17 other members in the family who have tested positive.

The family doesn't know exactly how they contracted the virus, but they believe someone was in contact with an asymptomatic person and brought the virus home.

The Christian Life Center had been observing all of the mandates from the state, with in-person services and its soup kitchen shutting down.

Jimenez leaves behind his wife Noemi of 65 years, who is currently in the ICU battling with the coronavirus.

A GoFundMe for the family has raised more than $27,400 as of Saturday night.

A statement on the page reveals the sudden death of Jimenez, saying, "On Thursday, July 16, 2020, Bishop Abel Jimenez was also called to meet his maker. We rejoice with the Jimenez family in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of the Lord."

It continues, "However, we also mourn as he marks the third immediate family member they have lost in such a short period of time."
