I love that I can hear Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? a couple times a day . . . just like the good old Top 40 days when it came out over 40(!!!) years ago.

But I have to ask . . . WHERE does that 45 stereo version (without Robert’s mumbling on the third verse) come from? I’ve been through several Chicago comp CDs and they all use an edit of the LP version.

Also . . . KOOL plays mono as well as stereo versions of many songs . . . can’t say I’ve heard the 3:17 original mono 45 version of Does Anybody . . .

Keep on rockin’!

PS – No 40th Anniversary T-shirts?

    Stu –
I’ll admit to being the ‘mono monster” of the group. The stereo mixes, especially the 60′s and early 70′s stuff were afterthoughts mixed horribly with the vocals way out front and little if any punch of their mono single counterparts. It’s an opinion that isn’t universally shared, but we do look for the best sources of all material. And the search is continuous as more and more is remastered. Thanks for the comment. – Steve
