Pete Burns, lead singer of the 80’s group Dead Or Alive has passed away at the age of 57. It was a sudden cardiac arrest according to his management team and family. Boy George tweeted about his passing:

I remember hearing the song “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)” when I was in a club in Milwaukee. As soon as that song and video came on, the dance floor filled up! I had to have the album! “Lover Come Back To Me”, My Heart Goes Bang”, and the whole Youthquake album was awesome! “Brand New Lover” was another fun song from the band.

From what I know, his years after the band were up and down. He made some appearances on TV, made more music, and lived life! His appearance had changed dramatically over the years. At one point, there was rumor of a Dead Or Alive reunion tour, but Pete later said that that was never going to happen.

Whether you like them or not, these songs were a part of our 80’s soundtrack. I am sad for his passing. Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and band mates. RIP Peter Jozzeppi “Pete” Burns.

This is from the family.
