Ladies & Gentleman, this is a question that has been asked. The other day, I answered the request line, and the voice with a rasp says, “Who is Dr. Fink, and why should I care?”. I had to pause. I had to remind myself that not everyone may be “deep” into Prince & The Revolution as some of us have been over the years. So, let’s answer this question, Who is Dr. Fink and why should you care?

First off, he is not a medical doctor, but he is a Dr. of the Funk. He was a part of “The Revolution” which was the backup band for Prince. He played keyboards. You can see him in Purple Rain. Watch those club scenes and the rehearsal scenes. Yeah that guy! I think he would be the first to tell you that he was not only part of musical history and Prince, but he was a part of a special family. At least that’s how I imagine it.

When I saw the video of the band “The Purple X-Perience“, I was floored! The band sounds amazing. The cover work is about as close as you can get. I think they are an amazing tribute to a performer who made music that so many people loved. On October 9th, at the Arizona State Fair Grounds, you can see this band perform at KOOLAPALOOZA. You will see and live the Purple X-Perience. For those of you who never had the chance to see Prince¬†& the Revolution perform, this will be your chance to get as close as you can. Will you share in the X-Perience?

I know I will.
