Feeling KOOL – Blow Your Nose

Just as cold and flu season starts to wind down, spring allergies start to rear their ugly heads.  Sniffling and sneezing is inevitable for many, but it’s important to be careful just how you blow your nose to get rid of that extra mucus.

Research shows one nose blow can send mucus into parts of your nasal passage and sinuses.  That can increase the likelihood of a sinus infection if there’s any bad bacteria involved.  Doctors recommend not blowing your nose at all, or at least doing so very gently.  A saline mist could be a good alternative to relieve congestion.
