Researchers believe that medical marijuana is becoming a lifesaver.  The new study shows that states which have legalized pot are seeing an average of two-thousand fewer deaths a year from prescription drugs.  Researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center say that medical marijuana is cutting down on accidental overdosing and health officials need to look into the potential benefits of marijuana as a pain reliever.  Currently 23 states and DC permit some of form of medical marijuana.
