1967 – The Beatles “All You Need Is Love b/w “Baby You’re A Rich Man” was released by Capitol Records in the U.S.  “All You Need Is Love” became the group’s 14 #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.

1974 – The Moody Blues were into surround sound early when they opened what they claimed was the first ‘Quadrophonic’ recording studio in the world.

1982 – Irene Cara topped the singles chart with “Fame”, based on the hit tv series about a New York drama school.  Irene, who played the role of Coco Hernandez n the original movie, won the Academy Award and Golden globe for Best Original Song.

2004 – Half of  the 4500 prople in the audience walked out of Linda Ronstadt’s show at the Aladdin Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, after Linda dedicated an encore of “Desperado” to film maker Michael Moore and urged the crowd to see his film ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’.
