Top 5 Most Patriotic Songs

Fourth of July is pretty much here and what better to do than have some awesome music jamming during your pool party or other festive event, am I right?

I’ve complied a playlist of my own which include the top 5 most patriotic songs of all time:


“Living in America” by James Brown

“Living in America” is a 1985 song composed by Dan Hartman and Charlie Midnight and performed by James Brown. The single reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and remained there for 11 weeks. Brown won a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for this song.


“America” by Neil Diamond

“America” is a 1980 song written and originally recorded by Neil Diamond. The song  reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was  #62 pop single overall for 1981.


“R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.” by John Mellencamp

“R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.” is a 1985 song written and composed by John Mellencamp. It was a  a top-ten hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Top Rock Tracks charts.


“America the Beautiful” by Ray Charles

“America the Beautiful” was written by Katharine Lee Bates and composed by Samuel A. Ward in 1895 when it originally was a poem. It was sung by Ray Charles in 1972.


“God Bless the U.S.A.” by Lee Greenwood

“God Bless the U.S.A.” is a 1984 song written and recorded by Lee Greenwood.  It reached number 7 on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart in 1984 and number 16 in 2001 on Billboard Hot 100.
