Feeling KOOL – Parkinson’s Disease

Regular walking may help control Parkinson’s disease.  A recent study looked at people 60 and older with moderate Parkinson’s who take a specific medicine to control their symptoms.  The participants walked three times a week for 45 minutes for six months.  The people who finished the program had better control of their movements, felt less tired, and were able to walk more steadily than before.  Experts caution the results are inconclusive because the study involved a small number of people.
