Led ZeppelinPink FloydKISS —the list of giant rock bands historically snubbed during their respective heydays by Rolling Stone magazine has long been a sore spot for the bands’ rabid fans bases.

While Zeppelin and Floyd eventually landed on the cover, it’s taken until 2014 —more than four decades after the band was formed— for KISS to find its place under the iconic Rolling Stone logo.

An image of KISS’ legendary original lineup of Ace FrehleyPaul StanleyGene Simmons and Peter Criss is set to grace the front of the mag’s latest issue (on newsstands March 28) to mark the band being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

The induction comes with plenty of rock and roll drama, with KISS’ longstanding divide between Simmons and Stanley versus Frehley and Criss on the other coming to the surface after the band pulled any potential KISS performance at the ceremony over line-up bickering.
