The Rolling Stones made their return to historic Hyde Park this past summer, and now the English rockers are bringing that show to cable.

On Friday, December 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET, Showtime will air The Rolling Stones: Sweet Summer Sun – Return To Hyde Park, a 92-minute documentary capturing the band’s first performance in the London park since July 1969.

Viewers will be treated to behind-the-scenes footage of the band before they hit the stage, and a special guest appearance of former guitarist Mick Taylor, who joined the band at every show on the band’s “50&Counting” tour.

The show took place almost 44 years, to the day, after the Stones performed a free concert in in that same part for an estimated 250,000 fans. That concert served as an ad hoc tribute to their former guitarist Brian Jones, who passed away just two days before the concert. It would mark the Stones’ first concert with Jones’ replacement, Mick Taylor.

The Rolling Stones: Sweet Summer Sun – Return To Hyde Park was directed by Paul Dugdale, a British filmmaker who has directed concert documentaries for Adele, Coldplay and more. It is available for purchase on DVD and Blu-Ray now.

Recently, The Rolling Stones announced their 2014 tour schedule in Australia.
