1944 – John Entwistle (The Who – bass – died 2002)

1948 – Jackson Browne (‘Doctor My Eyes’, ‘Running On Empty’)


1965 – The Beatles began a four week run atop the  Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Yesterday’, which wasn’t released as a single in the UK until until 1976.

1971 – Former Lovin’ Spoonful member John Sebastian became the only outside member to jam with The Who on stage as he played harmonica on ‘Magic Bus’ during a show in England.

1973 – Elvis Presley and Priscilla divorced after 6 years of marriage.  Her settlement?  Property, $725,000 cash, and monthly support of $4,200.

1964 – The Beach Boys recorded their twelfth top 40 single ‘Dance Dance Dance’ featuring a guitar intro played by Glen Campbell.

On a golf course in Scottsdale in the 90’s, I asked him how he ended up touring and recording with the group.
