TOP 10 TUESDAY: Songs from the year 1980!

1980 was the first year of a new decade. A year which brought us President Ronald Regan, the Sony Walkman, Star Wars Return of the Jedi, beating the Soviets in the Olympic Hockey game, and CNN! Everyone was asking “Who Shot J.R.?” and the Steelers beat the Los Angeles RAMS in the Super Bowl! We also lost John Bonham from Led Zepplin and John Lennon was murdered. 1980 was a great year for music. So many songs, so many artists, but we are only focusing on the TOP 10. Here they are:

#10 Christopher Cross “Sailing”

#9 Queen “Another One Bites The Dust”

#8 Olivia Newton-John “Magic”

#7 Billy Joel “It’s Still Rock And Roll To Me”

#6 Lipps Inc. “Funkytown”

#5 Michael Jackson “Rock With You”

#4 Queen “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”

#3 Diana Ross “Upside Down”

#2 Blondie “Call Me”

#1 John Lennon “(Just Like) Starting Over”

Hope you enjoyed the music today. Like I said, there were so many songs to choose from and so many KOOL things that happened in the year 1980. I hope it brought back some memories! Next week, we will feature the TOP 10 songs from the Beach Boys! Have a great week!
