Next month, Grammy Award winning musician and three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Eric Clapton will release Unplugged: Expanded and Remastered, a 2 CD/DVD collection. Set for release on October 15, the set contains unreleased material and restored footage from the original broadcast.

The first disc includes the original live album’s 14 performances, including “Layla,” “Running on Faith” and “Old Love,” along with the hit single “Tears in Heaven,” which tells the story of loss and grief surrounding the sudden death of his four-year-old son, Conor.

The second disc consists of several songs not featured on the original album, including a cover of “Big Maceo” Merriweather’s “Worried Life Blues,” an alternate take of Robert Johnson’s “Walkin’ Blues” and early versions of “Circus” and “My Father’s Eyes,” both of which would end up on his following album, 1998’s Pilgrim. The DVD consists of newly restored version of the original MTV broadcast on August 25, 1992. Filmed from multiple camera angles, fans will get to see unreleased footage, including an intimate look at Clapton and his band as they perform the album.

Released on Jan. 16, 1992, Unplugged debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The album would be certified Diamond by the RIAA, selling over 19 million copies worldwide. Clapton earned six GRAMMYS for Unplugged, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
