Brian Wilson and Jeff Beck, two of the most revered rock artists of the past half century, will combine forces for a co-headlining North American tour this fall.

Wilson, cofounder of the Beach Boys, and Beck, a prolific solo guitarist as well as a former member of the Yardbirds, will kick off an 18-date run starting in Florida at the end of September. The tour will travel through the United States and Canada up until exactly a month later, when the musicians hit Akron, Ohio, on Oct. 27.

Beck, a multiple GRAMMY winner who has earned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions both as a solo artist and through the Yardbirds, performed guitar on Wilson’s upcoming studio album. The 69-year-old Englishman’s last album, 2010’s Emotion & Connection, debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, with “Nessun Dorma” earning a GRAMMY win for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

Wilson more recently reunited with the Beach Boys for the group’s 50th anniversary, eventually spawning the album That’s Why God Made the Radio, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart when it was released last year. However, Wilson was unceremoniously booted from the band later that same year.
