When Glen Campbell performed here in Phoenix in February 2012, I knew it would be the last time I’d ever see him, and so did everyone in the audience.  Comerica Theatre was packed with an audience that, to a person, was sending love to him on stage.

Glen’s condition has deteriorated to the point that he no longer performs in public, though he does continue to regularly play golf with close friends.  But we haven’t seen or heard the last of Glen Campbell yet.

Next Tuesday a new album titled ‘See You There’ will be released, featuring new recordings of some familiar Glen Campbell hits and a couple of recordings left over from the ‘Ghost On the Canvas’ album, which was released in 2011.  Glen’s vocals for this new disc were recorded during those sessions.

However, the most exciting news for Glen Campbell fans may be a new documentary in the works by Oscar-winning producer James Keach who had cut down about 5,000 hours worth of footage to 5 hours.  A sample of his film was shown last week at a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation.  A commercial release of the film, paired down to two hours, is scheduled for this fall.

Here are Glen’s final three songs from his 2012 Farewell Tour stop in Phoenix.  If the song ‘A Better Place’ doesn’t get to you, check your pulse.
