March 28, 1958 – Buddy holly kicked off the first night of a 43 day tour at the Brooklyn Paramount theatre.

March 28, 1967 – John Lennon recorded his lead vocal for ‘Good Morning Good Morning’ which was included on the Sgt. Pepper album.  That same evening, Paul added his lead guitar solo to the track.

March 28, 1982 – David Crosby was arrested after crashing his car on a highway in San Diego.  Police also found cocaine and a pistol, and when they asked him about why he carried the gun, he simply said “John Lennon”. (who had been gunned down a year and a half earlier)

March 28, 1973 – Led Zepplin’s ‘Houses Of The Holy’ was released.  The album’s title was a dedication by the band to their fans who appeared at venues  they called ‘Houses of the Holy’.  Two singles were released: D’Yer Maker and Over The Hills And Far Away.  And who could forget ‘The Song Remains the Same”, showing no signs of wear 40 years later.
