Spring Flower Guide

Years ago my mother gave my husband an Audubon reference book for the Southwest.  You can look up everything from  lizards and snakes to trees and flowers.  We take that darn book with us everywhere.  When we come across lizards we look up what kind they are…same with spring wild flowers.  My favorite story…When the kids were much smaller we went on a spring  hike.  The walkways were just covered with these purple flowers.  I had my son look up what kind of wild flower they were.  We concluded it was Lupine.
To this day, my daughter can still point out the  Lupine flower.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department has created an online guide to good locations to catch spring blooms, just CLICK HERE!
