Timmy was hit by a car…the car didn’t stop!
He lost a leg but not his spirit.   Although, Timmy doesn’t know he lost a leg….sssshhhhhh!  Don’t tell him.

It’s impossible to overlook the fact that Timmy has three legs, though the 1-year-old German shepherd mix tends to forget it as he explores in the backyard or during a neighborhood stroll.

Timmy is lucky to be alive, after all he was hit by a car, but a concerned Good Samaritan spotted Timmy and called Emergency Animal Medical Technicians to come to his rescue. Vets in the Second Chance Animal Hospital weren’t able to repair his leg and had to amputate it in order to save his life.

With the love and care from a foster family, Timmy made a wonderful recovery and is getting acclimated to having only three legs. His favorite pastimes include going for car rides, romping through the yard with other playful dogs, swinging rope toys in the air and cuddling with his favorite stuffed toy (a cow).

He is crate, leash and house-trained and is incredibly intelligent so teaching him new tricks should come with ease.

Timmy is available NOW at the Sunnyslope Adoption Center located at 9226 N 13th Avenue in Phoenix. His adoption fee is only $110 and includes his neuter surgery and vaccines. For more information call 602-997-7585 x 2045 and ask for Timmy A421801.
