As a Beatles fan, Magical Mystery Tour hasn’t been an easy film to watch.  The film itself was in bad shape physically, and the story line leaves a lot to be desired, but with only four films to their name, it’s in important part of Beatles history.  The music wasn’t their best, especially in comparison to what they had previously released that same year – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.  That said, I’ll be there when the newly restored version of the movie hits theatres next month.  And the film will also be available on DVD and blu-ray on  October 9 with lots of extra features.

Can’t do much about the story, but the film looks better than I ever thought possible.  and even sub standard Beatles songs are better than most anything else.

Here’s the new trailer – and click here for more information from The Beatles website.
