Since the monsoon season is upon us, I figured I’d feature Lou Christie since we actually had some crazy lightning tonight in some parts of town!

“Lightnin’ Strikes” was released in 1966. It became a big hit in Canada, peaking at #1, then also hitting the top of the charts in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100.

On another note, lightning is dangerous…As amazing as it looks, it can kill and most people underestimate the odds of getting struck by a bolt. If lightning is within 10-25 miles from you, you are still in danger. Seek shelter indoors in a closed facility, avoid windows and metal. Believe it or not, your car (metal-topped only, not convertible tops) is a safe place if you don’t have access to a building for safety. Just don’t touch any metal in the car.
