The First Song George Harrison Wrote

Today’s Fab 4 @ 4 featured Beatle George Harrison. How do you squeeze a song of your own onto an album when John Lennon and Paul McCartney are your group mates writing hit after hit?  That’s the pressure George faced as he wrote his first song.  It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad, and it was good enough to be included on The Beatles second album With The Beatles.  Here in the states, it kicked off side two of their first Capitol album Meet The Beatles.

In an interview sent to radio stations years later, he talked about that first songwriting effort.
