[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]George Harrison[/lastfm] was a late bloomer as a songwriter.  He didn’t write his first song until 1963, when he penned a track that by his own admission wasn’t a very good song.  but it was good enough to make the cut.  When you’re competing with songs by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]John Lennon[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul McCartney[/lastfm], that’s saying something.
