Legendary crooner [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Tony Bennett[/lastfm] is on a publicity tour, promoting his new “Duets II” CD.  In an interview Monday, he discussed his military career.  (Did YOU know he served during World War II?) The conversation then turned to America’s recent conflicts.

Among Bennett’s quotes, “To start a war in Iraq was a tremendous, tremendous mistake internationally.”  He asked, “Are we the terrorists or are they the terrorists?”  Regarding the 9/11 attacks, “They flew the plane in, but we caused it.”

Whether or not you agree, those are some powerful words!  Do you think they will help or hurt Tony’s CD sales and overall popularity?

USA is not respected by many countries but we continue to provide them aid (trying to buy their love). USA should stop interfering in other countries business. Tony Bennett does not like the USA getting into other country’s business and why should the USA be surprised when other countries respond to our actions. Example, in Columbia the USA dumped chemicals on their land to kill drug crops but it also makes the land unable to create ANY crop. Do the people of Colombia love us? I doubt it.
