These four men changed music forever on July 5, 1954, while they were just fooling around in the Sun studio in Memphis[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Elvis Presley[/lastfm] had walked in off the street the year before, and was trying to come up with a style of his own when he, guitarist [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Scotty Moore[/lastfm], and bass player [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bill Black [/lastfm]hit upon the combination that would shake the world.  Lucky for us all owner/engineer S[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]am Phillips[/lastfm] captured it on tape.  Listen as Scotty talks about the first time he met Elvis – and that big bang moment

    Hey Mr.Steve Goddard…. I just had to say, you do an AWESOME impression of “WOLF MAN JACK”… alway’s loved listening to WOLF MAN JACK oh so many many year’s ago…
    Also love it when Mrs.Maria Knight & Mr. Tom Peake does their impression of “JOHN WAYNE” & “ELVIS PRESLEY”… Those two in the morning are a riot together… (they make all of us Radio Fan’s SMILE-LAUGH&GIGGLE) 🙂
