pogo 385x240 (ADOPTED) [Video] Dog of The Week

[photogallerylink id=54522 align=left] Meet Pogo, KOOL’s Dog of The Week! Pogo has one BIG heart, two big brown eyes, three legs and looking for a KOOL forever home.

It is impossible to overlook the fact that Pogo only has three legs, but spend some time with the effervescent chocolate Labrador and you won’t give that missing leg a second thought because he sure doesn’t. In January, the 3-year-old was facing an uncertain future as he lie helpless and injured in the middle of the road, clinging to life after being hit by a car. A Good Samaritan spotted him and called the Arizona Humane Society’s EAMTs who rushed him to the shelter’s hospital and his leg was later amputated in order to save his life.

After spending some time in a foster home, Pogo learned how to maneuver with just three limbs and now nothing holds him back when he spots the leash in his foster parent’s hand and he will wiggle and bounce with excitement as he anticipates his evening walk. He loves romping in the yard  and will eventually tucker out and will look for the nearest dog bed to flop down on for a long nap.

A family introduction is required to ensure a good match so bring the kids and your current canine down for a meet and greet. He is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope Facility located at 9226 North 13th Avenue in Phoenix. His adoption fee is $35 since he is a member of the exclusive Lonely Heart’s Club. This fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash with an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam.

no one can understand how lucky they would be to get pogo, he has earned a good home. nothing beats those loveing eyes meeting you at the door after a awful day @ work. they are so loving and giving. If someone would give him a good home, I would send the check for the $35 they wouldn’t be sorry. he would be a loving companion. everyong deserves to be loved. and a dog doesn’t care what you look like, if you are cool or not, they will just love you. think about that. I have 3 rescue dogs and i wouldn’t take a million for them. v
