charlie sheen or rick vaughn not coming to phoenix OK, So Charlies NOT Coming

We’ve been duped!  Yesterday, I blogged about Charlie Sheen‘s appearance in Phoenix for Cinco De Mayo tomorrow.  As it turns out, he will NOT be here.  My father always told me, “don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.”  I wish someone had told that to the owner of Aunt Chilada’s!

Charlie Sheen will be at Aunt Chilada’s Squaw Peak on Cinco de Mayo, just not  the real one.

A Sheen impersonator, instead, will mingle at the bash on Thursday  evening.

Several Valley news outlets reported today that the eccentric actor planned  to show up at the north Phoenix restaurant  for its “Place to be Sheen” party on Thursday, but owner Kenneth Nagel said that  isn’t the case anymore.

“It started with the idea of a lookalike contest, and a good customer and  prominent businessman told me he had contact with Charlie Sheen’s manager and he  might be able to get Charlie to stop by,” Nagel said. “I started to tell people  . . . and made a reservation for (Sheen) at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak (Resort),  and the news got out and now we can’t get a phone call  back.”

The Sheen-inspired celebration will still go on. The party will feature Tiger  Blood Margaritas inspired by Sheen’s infamous quote, and a “Goddess” contest  with a $500 grand prize. One of Sheen’s Goddesses, Bree Olson, recently dumped  the actor.

Still, there is a tiny glimmer of hope that Sheen might walk into the fiesta  unannounced.

“If Charlie does arrive, we’ll take him and the impersonator and decide which  one looks more like him,” Nagel said.
