Even though the Beatles broke up forty one years ago, their legendary music is still winning big awards using modern technology to make it sound better than ever.  At today’s 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards, The Beatles’ acclaimed stereo box set (the 9-9-9 release) won the GRAMMY for Best Historical Album.

That release of the Beatles’ remastered music, long awaited by Beatles fans, broke chart records around the world.  According to EMI’s press release issued today, “The Beatles’ original UK studio albums were remastered by this dedicated team of engineers at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios in London over a four year period, carefully maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings. The result is the highest fidelity the catalogue has seen since its original release.”

The team credited includes: Jeff Jones and Allan Rouse, compilation producers; Guy Massey, Steve Rooke, Sam Okell, Paul Hicks, and Sean Magee, remastering engineers).

Here, Cee Lo Green channels his inner [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Elton John[/lastfm] and sings the clean version of his song with the Muppets.  If you’re feeling scorned this Valentine’s Day, it may be just what the doctor ordered.  Enjoy!

    Another example of BEATLES FOREVER!!

Clearly, the best performance of the night – Cee Lo Green (challenging Elton John) and the Muppets RULE!!! However, if they wanted a hot actress who can actually sing, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ann Hathaway or Nicole Kidman would have been better choices. Or maybe one of those cute girls from “Glee”.

    1. At the risk of having my man card taken away, when the Muppets are singing…I don’t even notice the ladies.
