The incident occurred after teammate Brandon Jacobs accidentally knocked Manning’s helmet loose on a fourth-down play. The Giants quarterback was then struck by Jets linebacker Calvin Pace, whose hit took Manning’s helmet all the way off, at which point the Giant collided with another Jets defender.
